  1. maybe setter or back line

  2. I am 5''3' and i am a setter for my high school team and club volleyball team. Honestly, i think i can say setter does the most work, but every position on the court does a lot of work so i can't say there is one with the least. There are setter Outside hitter, Back row/libero/DS (defensive specialist), opposite (who hits on right side) and middle blocker. At this point, i think you are most elligable for the position of setter, outside, opposite, or even middle blocker if you have a good vertical. I hope this helped, and good luck! I think you just have to try out all the positions before you settle on one. :D

  3. The question is can you bump well? If you can then Libero would be best for you! If not then Middle Back or Left Back would be good. Even Right back if you can bump the ball! Oh and if you don't spike well try practicing with a soccer ball it really helps! I mean I'm a setter, hitter, middle, and libero before I couldn't hit but practicing with the soccer ball helps!

  4. There really is no position in volleyball that has "the least amount of work." The setter is very important, as well as backrow, DS (defensive specialists) and the libero, because the entire play works off of a pass. The setter needs to be able to get to the pass and set it off to the hitters, who need to have the right timing, and correct footwork in order to put the ball down. Remember, an average play in volleyball is 6 seconds, so everyone on the court must be on their toes and ready to move at all times.

  5. Setter [Most amount of work]

    Outside Hitter

    Weakside Hitter

    Middle Hitter

    Libero

The setter is the player on the volleyball team that sets the teams attackers. A setter position is similar to a quarterback in football or a point guard in basketball in the sense that the setter runs the teams offense. Some teams may choose to have multiple setters run the team offense.

Teams outside hitters are usually the primary attackers on the team. These hitters attack balls that are set to the left side of the court. Outside hitters may also be referred to as outside blockers.

Team’s weak side hitters hit from the right side of the court and are usually not the primary attackers on the team. Weakside hitters may also be referred to as weakside blockers.

Team’s middle hitters hit balls set at the net in the middle of the court. Middle hitters are sometimes the primary attackers on the team. Middle hitters are commonly used as a decoy to freeze or confuse the opposing teams blockers.

A middle hitter is also referred to as a middle blocker or just middle. Middle blockers are often in charge of front row players to coordinate team blocking strategy.

The libero plays a special roll in team defense and passing. The libero is the player on the volleyball team that can come into the game and replace any player on the back row. The libero is sometimes called a defensive specialist or DS.

The libero may be put in the game to pass for a weaker passer or to help cover the court by making great defensive plays. The libero may also serve in one rotation.

  6. well the positions are hitters, setters, ds, libero (sometimes), and is u have good hands u could prob. be a good setter. keep working on everything else tho.! good luck!

  7. Each position takes special skills, if you do a horrible bump that is something to work on because chances are 12 year old passes arent always going to go to the setter and you will have to get it to her and also if you dont have a libero you wil have to play backrow,

i wouldnt advise being libero, or passing specialist. you may want to try to be a setter. you get to handle the ball the most and just have to work on accurate sets. try some different drills to perfect your setting skills.

  8. At 12 you probably have a few more inches to grow.

In high school, you may be able to get away with playing any position, but I think you'll be average height and may want to concentrate on setter or libero.

For all positions, you have got to work on your passing.  Even if you do your primary skill well and can't pass, your coach will look to the next player.  You really can't hide a poor passer on the floor.

BTW, you have to work at all the positions.

  9. there are 6 positions on the floor, Front row Is Outside Hitter, Middle Hitter, Right hitter/setter, then when you are in the backrow you have passers it depeds on what position you play in the front to know where you go in the backrow...I think your position for right now would be a setter your set up the hitter so she can hit it.  Just keep practicing I have been playing volleyball for 7 years so if you have any questions just ask
