Can anyone explain the steps for jump serving to me?

  1. you toss the ball infront of you a whole lot more than for a normal serve and you basically do your hitting approach!! it mainly like your going to spike the ball but just from the serving line and your setting your self


  2. throw the ball a few feet in front of you, take a couple steps, hit the ball

    its like a 30ft hit

  3. -toss the ball (higher and farther out than a normal toss. and usually you put a top spin on your toss, unless you doing a float serve)

    -take the normal attack approach (left, right, left **unless your left handed) make sure you take off when the ball reaches its peak. you want to be at your peak when you contact the ball.

    -jump, follow through, and snap

    this is for a normal top spin serve. a lot of people now, take their approach, toss the ball (low toss) when they are taking off into their jump and pretty much jump with the ball, and contact more on the back of the ball. this is for more of a flat, float serve. its sort of a "newer" technique and kind of hard to grasp at first.
