  1. There are nine types of Volleyball Serves.  They are:

    1.  Underhand and Overhand Serve

    2.  Sky Ball Serve

    3.  Line and Cross-Court Serve

    4.  Top Spin

    5.  Floater

    6.  Jump Serve

    7.  Jump Float

    8.  Round-House Serve

    9.  Hybrid Serve

  2. yes like a topspin spins and is very hard to get and floater is a serve that floats and drifts. you can do these in over hand or jump serves.:)

  3. Those are the two most basic.

The "flat overhand serve" is commonly called the float serve. It's called this because there is actually no spin on the ball and when done correctly, the ball will seem to float in the air, moving around as it catches wind currents in the gym. The top spin is different. This ball will dive towards the ground due to the spin created on the ball. In addition to these two, there's also a side spin serve, which will cause the ball to go from left-right, or right-left depending on the spin created. You could also add jumping to any of these serves. Jumping will add a higher contact point and in most cases, more ball velocity. Then of course there's the most simple serve of all, the underhand serve. This serve can be utilized in beach volleyball still to this day. Some players will use the sun as a distraction, and serve a really high underhand serve for an opponent to pass. Although, you usually only see it with novice level players. Most pros where quality sunglasses so it wouldn't really matter. And if they did attempt it, they'd use a high overhand float serve.

  4. another serve is just a regular serve... otherwise i can't really help u on that... srry

  5. yes. float serves are actually the hardest ones to pass. most people think hard-driven top spin serves are the toughest, but as a libero i know that they are actually the easiest to pass.

but there is also a jump serve, short serve (in front of the 10 foot line), and side-spin (which is really hard to do)

    hope it helps.

  6. yes their is such a thing as those serves i know this cuz i have a vid demonstrating it and other serves are roundhouses, jump serve, underhand serve, and thats it.
