Volleyball Special: 2011 brings a new coach for Romania’s Remat Zalau
With the start of year 2011, the Romanian men’s volleyball Club Remat Zalau has brought some major changes in the team line. Since the CEV Champions League is just round the corner, the leadership of the club has decided to hire a new head coach for improved
performance of team. The Romanian team is scheduled to face German champions of VfB Friedrichshafen. Mr. Mircea Dudas has been offered to take up the task of leading Romanian squad to success. He was introduced as new head coach of the Remat Zalau in the special
conference on Thursday, 30th December, 2010. The press conference was held at a local sports hall, where the final decision of leadership was disclosed.
The new head coach has taken over his position from today January 1st, 2011. However, the management was kind to keep the former head coach as an assistant to Dudas. The addition of new head coach will surely bring a positive change for Romanian
team. Dudas is an expert and skilful person in his field. He has spent plenty of years mastering the nitty-gritty of volleyball. In the past, he has mentored very high-profile teams of Romania. He was attached with U ClujNapoca and Tomis Constanta, which are
two renowned club teams of Romania at national level. The coach, Mircea Dudas has been assigned the task to set the team on winning track. The upcoming champions league matches will put his leadership abilities to a real test. It will also be a good opportunity
for him to prove his skills.
He is hopeful for the better status of Remat Zalau’s team. Mr. Dudas expressed his views during the press conference:  “We still can do a good job because we can improve our level. Remat is quite difficult to defeat, even for Europe’s
strongest Volleyball teams. We have to progress in many aspects, including the serves and the defence, from which we can gain a lot.”
Speaking about the next game, with VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, even though the Germans are the pre-favourites, he stated that they will do their best as anything may happen. It can’t be predicted who will win, this will only be determined only on the playground
Likewise, the libero of Romanian team, Adrian Feher believes that the change of coach will surely improve team’s performance. Rest of the team also seem happy about the appointment of new coach.
