Volleyball Tips! Please Help!!!?

hey everyone. we have a huge volleyball tournament tomorrow. its to win a trophy for the school. i always get really nervous and mess up but im good at practice. when i was at my one game my mom and dad where there then my mom had to answer a cell phone call and my dad went with her so they both left the room. then i started doing really good. can you just give me some tips so i can get over my nerves. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. focus on the game, stop looking in the stands, don't think about anything but the game and whats going on, talk on the bench and on the court when your playing and sitting the bench you'll be talking and moving so much you won't have time to be nervous.

    stop thinking so much.

  3. just imagine that no one is there and its practice..dont even look in tthe stands because then you get sidetracked..either look at other playeers, the ball, the ref, or the coach. if you need a little more motivavtion, pretend your boyfriend/crush is there or a college volleyball scout!! GOODLUCK!!

  4. hey what i do is just think that your at practice so then you wont be nervous. i get nervous too wen i play a tournament especially wen they are so much taller than me but all you have to do is do your best and they are as nervous as you are so just put the nerves behind and play the best you can

  5. i am nerves when my mom is there too but if i imagine that it is just my team vs. the other team and no choaches i do fine just think of it as fun not i have to win or they will have my head

  6. Don't look at the crowd. Don't look at your parents.

    Just concentrate on the game.

    All that's important is the game.

    And don't get discouraged when you're losing.

    It doesn't matter if you're winning by 20 or losing by 20, you should be concentrating, be focused and playing hard

  7. what i like to do is block everyone out...... for me it's easier with more people and rember that there's 5 other girls on the court and probly others on the bench if you need a quick breather... just focus on the game and dont thik about the fans

  8. Just remember that there is no perfect volleyball player, but i would recommend at least calming down the jitters, because that can s***w up the entire team.  listen to some slow songs and not wild pump up ones before the game, and then they should calm you down.  If not, have a redbull. :D

  10. Try listening to music and then spend alot of time warming up. Hitting balls bumping, etc....  Also spend time stretching and while doing so control your breathing.  In thru the nose out thru the mouth.  Deep breaths.  Visualization helps to.  Visualize certain things you want to do during the game.

  11. I heard eating celery can calm nervousness. Try that. Remember, bend your knees when you bump. I'm not really good at volleyball, but that's the best I can give you. Sorry. Also, make sure your drink a lot of water so that you don't get dry. Make sure you also get a lot of rest and eat noodles or something with a lot of grain or something of that food group like pasta. It'll help you with your energy.
