  1. DON'T pay any attention to the SCOUTS! Just do your best and pretend they aren't there. I know this is harder said than done, but all you have to do is give it all you've got and they can take it or a leave it. I'm sure you'll do just fine! Just relax when you are out on the court and play the game to the best of your ability. I wish you luck!

  2. Yes, many of my friends have scholarships at D1 schools, and to get one, although isn't easy, isn't hard if you have the skill set and willingness to work.

First and foremost, find a coach that's good and serious about helping and tell them you want a college scholarship and want to work to get it. I stay in with the girls I coach an hour after practice ends to work on stregnthening, and specific focus for those who are serious about moving on to the next level. If you have a coach who's willing to work more privatly with a player it greatly helps the development because you can only learn so much in a team setting, the individual focus isn't there. Get private lessons with experienced and knowledgeable coaches, go to training camps in the offseason, play on open/power club teams. Sell yourself to coaches by e-mailing them and sending them game tape (not highlight reels).

  3. Find a good club with a good coach who knows how to play you.

  4. Go to every scouting camp available, play your best and don't worry abotu your errors coaches want someone is confident. Also when scouts are watching you, dont' get freaked out, also it helps to send out tapes of your self! even if they don't contact you after they have now seen you play!
