  1. I live in a small town so we dont really have tryouts for anything, but we have testing. we have to do a ton of thimgs like shuttle run and push ups, sit ups. so it looks like you have worked hard the past year. so go to tryouts and try your best and work your hardest!

  2. Just put the past behind you and be yourself. Don't think of not getting to play from last year. Think "I can do it!" Just have fun!

  3. don't be nervous!  if you've practice this much then i bet you've practice more then anyone Else!  Also some tips are to run to everything, help pick up balls, quick water breaks, and most of all be nice and make them remember you!  o ya bound with some of the girls, then the coaches will know  you'll get along with the other girls.

  4. don't be so nervous.  you'll get yourself worked up over nothing.  if you're nervous you won't be concentrating on the most important parts of the try out.  I went into an interview for a job I really wanted really nervous and I didn't get it.  two weeks later i had another interview and i wasn't nervous at all... i got the job.  easy as that

  5. Use your finger tips to volley.

Use your legs to push up when you bump

    Use your knee pads

    Have fun.

    Best of luck to you.

  6. Our volleyball tryouts are this saturday and I'm just as nervous as you are. The most important thing that you can remember is to just do your best and have fun with it. That's the only thing that you can ask out of yourself. Good luck hope this helps!

  7. Focus, relax, and and just have fun.  If you had already prepared for the tryouts, you'll be just fine.

  8. You have to make sure you stand out somehow.  Ive conducted tryouts at the club level in college and sometimes you just pick the people you remember best. Go after every single ball!!  Even if you suck, but dive for every ball chances are they will remember you.   I've picked people just because they dove for a ball like 10 feet away and touched it.  Also make sure if the coach gives you advice you follow it.  They are looking for people that learn easily.  Main points:  They know you are not going to be great, but they are looking for somehow who is dedicated, not afraid of throwing themselves onto the floor, and can easily be taught.

  9. well, if you got regected lst year, you shouldnt feel bad if you dont make it this year. volleyball is the only tryout im not nervous for i just try to think what i should do, and be possitive. if youve done camps just use what you learned becasue other people may have not gone to camp thinking they will make it again. cheer on your team even at the tryouts and when the coach is looking try your hardest then. once you get into it youll forget all about how nervous you are

  10. Keep in mind that you can do this!! and dont get nervous because its only Volley ball tryouts!!

  11. Well it sounds like u have the determination, you have been practicing so you have a better chance of makeing it. Just do ur best, dont try to impress the coach, do what u know to do.

  12. u will do just fine. when u r there i wouldn't show that u r nervous then that is gonna tell the coach something and u don't want that. just keep practicing what u r doing and u should be fine.

    hope u make the team!

  13. think that ur the best and that you can do it

  14. read a book called Gabriellia Reece its grate

  15. You should be ok, just go out there and be the best you can be. I have a story to tell you about a girl who played volleyball. Her name was Emily. Emily loved volleyball, so she tried out for the team at our school, she didn't make it as a seventh grader. Then eighth grade came around and again she didn't make. Even after all of that she still believed in herself and  tried out for the freshman team. She practiced everyday with the team at 6 in the morning and when tryouts rolled around she was very confident and guess what waiting and hard work got her, a spot on the team.

If you just believe in yourself and are confident you can do anything. Just be the best you can be and if you don't make it. ask the coach if you can practice with the team to get ready for next year, but never give up!

  16. You should just relax and do your best im sure youll make it hard work pays off!

  17. Of course your going to try and impress them, but try not to think about it all to much. Just think of having fun!

I made the vball team this year, and most the time I wasn't focused on them. But whenever cute boys would come watch our practice I would try and impress them, and I'd end up doing horrible in front of them. So try and keep your mind focused on what your doing, instead of trying to impress them.

    good luck!

  18. calm down, relax. i'm sure you'll make it. i got rejected in 5th grade but i went to v-ball camp and made it next season. i'm in 8th grade and ive made it every single year from 5th(6th,7th,8th,and i hope 9th). if you did all those things and you tried and did good then i'm sure you'll make it.

  19. just do your best and have fun. if you make it you make it and if you do not then tryout for a different team or just practice more and try next year

  20. Definately do not let the fact that you didn't make it on the team last season get you down! This past season, I kept girls who I could see worked hard to get better since the previous season and cut girls who had made no progress since the season before.  I'm not sure how old you are, but I coach Junior Varsity volleyball at the high school in my town.  At the age of 14 I may have a girl who is great and her friend who is not so good. By the time these girls are 17 you may find that the great girl didnt work at her game b/c she was always better than everyone else and continued to just be a great player, and the not so good player worked her butt off to improve and is now an EXCELLENT player!  If you prove to the coach that you will work hard for him/her whether it be on the court or on the sideline cheering you team on, it will pay off!

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  21. well if this is middle school tryouts- then u should be fine cause you've been working hard.

high school-same thing. i would just be working extra hard to make it this year. if there's any open gyms i would seriously go to them.
