Volleyball Update: FIVB Men’s World Championship 2010- USA, France and Bulgaria hit the mark

The second round of the FIVB Men’s World Championship 2010 has staged outstanding battles among the teams. The fire was started on 25th September, 2010 and the campaign will cover its length on 10th October, 2010. Since the early stage
of the championship is over and low-performance teams are out, the game is becoming more interesting and tough.
USA, France and Bulgaria have demonstrated excellent play and remained successful in the second round. USA was challenged by Cameron in Pool L. The American studs proved their steel in the match and clinched victory against Cameron. Likewise, in Pool M,
France outplayed Japan in straight sets and celebrated success. Poland also made their mark in Pool N fights and joined the winners by dismissing Bulgaria.
USA vs. Cameron 3-2 (23-25, 25-14, 25-27, 25-20, and 15-7)
The U.S. team recovered from the shock of defeat, which they received from Czech Republic on in the first match of second round. They ousted Cameron in the next match and relived the dream of victory.
Cameron started out really well and created a lot of trouble for USA. They served well and their defence was admirable. The U.S. hitters had a hard time to find an empty spot to smash the ball. Cameron’s team was gifted with a sharp-minded setter, who contributed
many points by quickly throwing the ball in USA’s court. That was how Cameron sparked on the scene and secured the first set by creating 25-23.
The U.S team put more effort in the second set and strengthen their position. Cameron’s team played with the same style but USA had formulized a new strategy. They came from back court and attacked the defence line of Cameron. The plan worked and the team
made progress. USA attained the commanding position in game returned the score to Cameron. They levelled the score by winning second set (25-14). Americans finished the second set with a lead of 10 points.
Cameron was not ready to lose the game so easily. They brought ferocity in their attack in third round and once again pulled off victory. Cameron posted 27-25 win over USA in third set. The U.S. players couldn’t stand Cameron’s lead and struggle to bring
it to an even point. The luck favoured U.S. team and they captured fourth set by 25-20. Cameron was forced to play another set in order to win the match.
The fifth set started with an exchange heavy shots from both sides. Somehow, USA was quick to pick up lead and managed to finish the set at 17-5. The Team USA declared victory over Cameron.
France vs. Japan 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, and 25-22)
The teams from Pool M also played a match on 1st October, 2010. France collided with Japan and won the match after a close call. France dominated the Japanese team in first set. French players produced good floaters, which provided them extra
edge over Japanese team. France stretched the gap of points and achieved 25-19 success in first set.
Japan fought well in the second set and chased France’s score but somehow, they failed to level the game. France was up with another set victory and got into a better position. Third set was a bruising battle between the two teams. France proved to be the
better team and overruled Japan in third set.
Bulgaria vs. Poland 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, and 25-17)
Bulgaria also outshined in Pool N of FIVB Men’s World Championship by defeating Poland. Bulgaria exhibited good effort in the court and received huge applause for the 3-0 victory over Poland. Bulgaria has next big challenge to face Brazil in the next match.
It is going to be a tough match, which will put their abilities to a real test.
