well...I'm currently a high school freshman and I play both of these sports...#1 tip is definately PRACTICE....it will help a ton, but a tip for volleyball is to pay attention and stay low...you don't want to swing your arms when you bump the ball...just bend your knees...softball, batting...watch the ball/keep your eyes on the ball, turn your hips and your back foot should be facing forward after you have taken your swing...defense...outfield....always know where you are going with the ball if it comes to you and keep the ball in front of you...infield...same as outfield and make sure you are doing as you are coached...ball in front...good throws....know what your doing

this is all VERY basic stuff...but i hope if your starting out or anything that it will help!! : )
