I'm going to start playing volleyball, and in my school the girls have to wear those tight little spandex shorts.

Well I'm 15 and i have cellulite in my thighs and butt.I was wondering what i can wear with those short shorts, so that my cellulite is not noticeable?

  1. Ugh. I have the same problem, girly.

I just got over it, if your a killer player, no body is gonna care about your thighs and little dimples in them. lol

But tanning helps and also work out a bit. That helped me, I did squats and leg lifts and stuff like that.

  2. im in the same situation gurl! i say just tone them. Dats what im going to do...

  3. Oh gosh im panicking too...

Im so insecure with my legs....but what i have been doing is lots and lots of squats, lunges and frog jumps...I also am trying this Avon stuff that helps make cellulite less noticable .....but not for 2 weeks.....and i just started...

Just get your legs greatly toned....Please if you find some other ways please let me know!!!??? I know your fear and pain.....good luck!!!

  4. You better really reduce it, not just make it less visible ...

To reduce cellulite, you have to:

    - avoid fast food and sodas

    - massage your problem areas

    - scrub your problem areas (coffee ground scrubs work pretty well and cost nothing)

    - use a contrast shower

    - go for some body wrapping procedures.

Combined all together, these will make your cellulite invisible in several weeks - guaranteed! :). I work on it all the time and nobody knows I got cellulite.

  5. its un avoidable

just remember that they're alllways someone out there who has wayy worse.

plus, if ur a good player, who cares about legs?

  6. well, if its part of the uniform then you're going to have to wear them.  there are longer spandex shorts, depending on the brand.  avoid asics and nike, because they are short short short.  mizuno shorts have a longer inseam.  you could check out a local sport shop and look for just running spandex (which will be longer) and wear those.  i wouldn't suggest wearing long shorts (the baggy kind) because they are hard to move around in.  the reason girls wear spandex is because its aerodynamic...there is no extra fabric to slow you down so its easier to jump, dive, sprint ect.  for practice, you can wear shorts (just avoid long ones) but for games, make sure you match the team.

to get rid of the cellulite, drink lots of water and so aerobic workouts (running, biking, swimming ect) and work on toning your legs in the gym.

  7. Massage them, put self tanner on them...

Or you can just buy longer volleyball shorts (mid-thigh) and make sure they're made mostly of cotton.  Cotton doesn't show as much cellulite as synthetic materials (such as spandex and polyester).

But just to let you know, probably around 80% of women/girls have cellulite, and spectators definitely can't see your cellulite from the stands.  And your teammates won't care, you're out there to play volleyball, not win a beauty contest :)

  8. Go tanning, makes it less noticeable.

  9. i don't know if this helps, but i read in a health magazine that if you massage your thighs it helps diminish the look of cellulite, i don't know if this is true, but it's worth a shot!

and you could also tan alot, this makes they cellulite a little less noticable

there are also creams you could try that you can buy at a drugstore, but i'm not sure if these work

    good luck!

ps- even if this stuff doesn't work, still play because people don't really pay attention to your legs during volleyball, they are mostly watching the ball- or for guys, b***s
