  1. Do lots of upper body and core training stuff, and cardio. Run a lot. Each day you run make it a longer distance or amount of time running. Also do crunches and sit ups. Push ups are really good too. Get music that's kinda makes you want to dance and move around that's happy and up-beat :]

  2. running always helps!!! crunches are good too. During our volleyball conditioning, we do suicides A LOT. But doing jump ropes helps alot!!! What works even better is when u pick a line on the ground or put a stick down and jump back and forth, from front to back and from side to side. it helps make u quicker. 90 degrees for 90 seconds is really good too. stairs and stadiums. the plank. backwards crunches. there is this thing were you get in puch up position and in one quick motion you pull your legs in to your chest, then jump up and reach for the sky, then you reverse it until you get back to the beginning. it works. BE SURE TO PRACTICE YOUR HITTING, BUMPING, SERVING, AND EVEN SETTING!!! :)

  3. i run cross country... im better than you at life.

  4. try ur best and practice and put nice tunes

  5. You can do squats, and arm weights.  Also suicides are good for agility and stealth. A suicide is when you are on some sort of court, or in a large area and you run from one point to another point and touch down with your hand. It really strengthens your legs and arms.

  6. If you wanted to torture yourself you could download the PACER test and put it on your Ipod and do the test when ever you want to.

  7. 1.) all your stretching first: arms over/behind head, full arm extension accross your chest w/added pressure from your other hand, cross your feet standing and bend, side stretches, sit & stretch, stand & bend your leg up behind you pressing your foot into your behind

2.) lay with your knees bent, toes against a wall, practice doin sit ups as you bounce the ball against the wall & catch it

3.) do bumps against a wall by yourself

4.) jump, jump, jump (find a way to mark your progress)

5.) practice running sideways while crossing your feet to reach next step

6.) take forward steps & squat in-between each step

7.) do running relays: short distances back & forth, bend & touch the ground before you return

8.) crunches, crunches, crunches (helps build your core strength, upper body & spikes)

9.) take front steps and kick yourself in the behind with each step (I'm not being funny, try it and you'll see what I mean)

10.) practice setting straight over your head repeatedly

Lots of stretching, jumping, and strength training!

  8. Sprints, agility, core (ab) workouts- crunches, bicylcs, superman ect., work on approaches, wall jumps/ explosion drills, squats and wall sits.

  9. calisthenics ftw

google up calisthenic or circuit training workouts/programs

the first 5 results usually have really good workout programs that'll get you in shape

try these links...i googled up volleyball conditioning and these are the sites i got...i skimmed them to see if they were legit and these 2 sites should kick your butt and get you in shape

  10. yes long distance is good to start off, but so some sprints as well. the average volley is about 6 seconds.. so make sure you can still make it through the long volleys. do some squats, lunges, tuck jumps, block jumps ect... CORE do some core workouts like sit ups, planks, lemons, crunches ect it helps you in every sport. Make sure you strech before and after!

  11. do plyometrics, get a personal trainer, run outside, and do pushups, crunches, planks, plank pushups, etc etc.....if u dont no what they r then look it up on google.
