Does anyone know of any volleyball drills for one person? (That can be done indoors, and don't require more than one person)

  1. I can only help if your a setter.. and if u are.. then go to your room do 25 pushups 25 squats and 15 finger pushups..wait 10minutes and do it again..then when you go play on the court your arms and fingers will be hella strong.

  2. These are simple drills that help you practice and improve form.

Find a nice open wall area. Bump to the wall a few times, then advance to setting, Finally spike a few times. Work on this. Its the basics and you can't get any better than that.

  3. I used to use the stairs when I was younger. The ball almost always comes back to you and you learn how to aim/hit at the same time.

Of course, I was an odd child...but great at volleyball.

  4. push ups, sit ups, wall sits, wall jumps, pass to yourself, set to your self. lift weights thats the best thing to do so you can hit serve, and block harder and be stronger. GooD LucK :))) contact me for more tips and advice on anything volleyball related!!! :)))

  5. i can only help if your a hitter...to get your approach down just walk through it over and over even do the jump it will help when your in the game...itl be like a reaction.

  6. So break down a few if you need more ask more specifically.

    What you need:

    -ball

-colored tape or marker or crayon

    -yourself

    -Wall

    What to do

Make a box on the wall the size of which about 2 feet by 2 feet mark it with tape or by drawing it on the wall.

The box should be at least 8-9 feet high

Start by passing into the box...

      - straight on

      - from the left of the box, pass to your right

      - from the right of the box pass to your left

    - The back up and do it from a farther distance

Move to setting into the box

      - start from a foot from the wall like you are setting a quick 1 set

      - move back a few steps over time

Count out 30 medium steps and serve into the box

****Make sure you set goals 7/10 will go into the box then make your goals tougher as you get better

*******Make sure your form is perfect... passing and setting well when the ball is coming easy isn't hard, when the ball carries velocity behind it you MUST use good form so practice good form even on the easy passes

    For Hitting

    Needs:

Full legnth mirror, kind you can see your whole body.

    Do:

    - Footwork, watch yourself correct mistakes

(right handed = little left step, BIG RIGHT, little left)

-Arm work = elbow high, relaxed arm, both arms up, left goes down right goes up, contact high, snap, follow through

Find a wall and take about 3 medium steps back without following through hit the ball high just using wrist snap and bounce the ball between you and the wall so that you can hit 10 times without catching the ball or reaching to the sides. you want a straight wrist snap. **increase number as you improve

That's basic stuff, you can do harder stuff like as you set into the box from a half foot away you spin in a circle so that you are setting forwards/sideways/backwards/sideways forward without losing the ball.

Lay down and set little sets while rolling from your back to your stomach to your back (requires arching your back and very soft hands)

  7. play pepper against a wall.  set it against the wall then spike it hard!  then pass it set it and spike it again.  the harder you hit it, it will simulate a harder spike and you can work on your defense and setting, and work on your form while  you spike.

  8. bump and overhead set the ball against the wall  but be careful not to break anything. stretch the arms helps too.
