  1. if u  bee setter  u never  fix in ur team

  2. i had the same problem. now i'm starting varsity setter for my highschool team.  coaches love to know that you're putting the effort into getting better and really trying. ask the two setters on your team for help as much as possible.  they have a lot to show and teach you. you could learn from them. ask your coach for special help either before or after practice. make the iniative to go get what you want. you can do it.

  3. I just went to setters camp @ Michigan State University for advanced setters!  I suggest you do the same @ a college near you!

  4. first of all if your coach asked you to be a setter than she must see some kind of potential in you so all you have to do is practice. so things that you can do is go outside and set against a wall do 200. you can also set straight up in the sky do 50( try to go as high as you can) another thing you can ddo is  to lay on your back in your bed and set towards the ceiling ( it will help if you do this with a setters ball  which is a weighted volleyball or a basketall do 600. these things must be done every day..

i know this might seem like a lot but if you really want to  impress your coach you need to do it-- remember the setters position is a hard position and requires a lot of practice.

    hope i could help :)

  5. practtice makes perfect

  6. practice makes perfect! I had the same situation and I just practiced my heart out. Don't be scared. Everything will be alright. If you don't think you are eligable don't do it. That's the best thing I would do.

  7. practice and remember everyone makes mistakes...my varsity coach asked me to go with his team as a freshman to orlando to play in the aau nationals. he told me that i would be playing mostly middle but a little setter...when i got there he would put me in as middle and tell the setter to spacifically set me up.. then he would switch it and i would be setter...i was super nervous and messed up but as the game went on i felt more comfortable.

so just keep trying and dont be afraid to make mistakes!

  8. dont worry, practicing your skills will always make you a better setter. ive played volleyball for almost 3 years now, and it runs in my family since my mom and my grandma both played it well. when i set, i usually jump at the same time to make the ball go higher and to let my teammates have more time to get the ball. i understand how you feel, i play worse everytime my family comes to my games cause i get nervous. just relax, and pretend nobodys watching you. before you know it, itll be overr :D

    hope this answers ur question!

    xoxo
