Volleyball high school tryouts?

Question

what are the chanced for a freshman to make varsity or jv in volleyball? I've been playing volleyball pretty much my whole life, but im just kinda worried i wont even make jv. what are the tryouts actually like? Any tips?

if you have been playing your almost your whole life you should be fine.  tryouts aren't to bad things that you need to know though is always try your hardest. coaches like to see you putting out a lot of effort.  also make sure you are never late for games, tryouts,  or practices.  coaches like to see hustle also.  don't worry if you don't make jv it is possible for you to make varsity but if you don't make jv then you could tryout next year and don't give up volleyball if it is something you love doing.

hahaha, you shouldnt worry!

i am now a sophmore, & i played on the varsity team as a freshman.

basically it depends on the school, what the coaches are looking for, & talent.

if you are tall, you have an AMAZING chance at being on the upper teams.

if you have raw talent, then you should be just fine, cause coaches can see the talent, & believe me, its alot easier to get raw talent to shine then it is to get no talent to shine. lol (:

i am a pretty good player, & i hope to get a volleyball scholorship for college. i practice every day, & i am constantly working out to keep my muscles strong & lean.

one of the BIGGEST things you need is a good attitude.

when you go out there, you need the attitude of im gonna do this. im goin to be amazing, & im goin to blow these coaches away.

of course you will s***w up, but those s***w-ups will only help you improve somewhere down the line. (:

also, with that good attitude, you need a athletes attitude.

one that is always like "bring another serve on, im ready for anything you losers" a little trash talk is good, it keeps you & your team vocal, & it keeps your spirits up. & if you can show that you can kep a teams spirits up, well the coaches will DEFINATELY see that. every coach looks for a leader to shine!

ur going to be worried its ur firt year for trying

out for the high school team.

im sure if u have been playing alot u will be great.

tryouts show them how much u know the game

and what skills u r good at.

work hard. keep preactice. before i went and tryed-out for the team i would take my volleyball n practice passing to myself (if i had no one to pass to) highs n low. at my tryouts we did that alot to help with our passing. im sure u will do great
