I've been told on a 3 step approach, that you go left-right-left (which I do). But by others I've been told it's the opposite way. So, which is it? Which one is "goofy footed"? If you have any club experience or coaching experience please say so, so that I can give you a "best answer" rating thing... Thanks!=]

Hi I played both in High School, Club and College and I've been coaching for several years now. I have a daughter now who is also playing competitively in club and coming to her 2nd yr in HS who is also finding it challenging to change her steps because she is also goofy footed. We were told it will definitely be harder for her later when she enters college. So now would be a good time to do it over a thousand times so it is second nature. Stick with the 3 step approach. When starting stand with your left foot behind your right (Right foot up), when taking your first step it will be with your left, then right and then left. Just be sure your shoulder and body is open facing the setter. Hope that helps. Good luck.
