  1. If you can make it over the net with just standing on the ground, you can make a jump serve. The secret is the toss. Give yourself a really good toss. Aim high don't forget that.

  2. the key is the toss it has to be perfect not too far ahead of you, but it cant be behind you cuz you lose power just like when you are hitting.

  3. jump serves are the exact same as a spike. you do your approach and everything. the only difference is how you hit it. if you snap your wrist like in a spike you will end up hitting your teammates in the back of the head(trust me I have)

  4. Ok, I'm assuming you are talking about a jump-serve with topspin.

The most important things for this are #1 your toss, and #2 your hand contact.

Toss the ball with one hand, spinning it (snap your wrist), and make sure it goes 4-10ft in front of you and 12-20ft high.

Make sure you ARE snaping your wrist. You need to get topspin unless you have a great vertical jump.

    The Breakdown:

You basically need to aim higher, and focus on topspin and accuracy by working on your toss and contact.

    Good luck.

P.S. Once you get good at it, try tossing more in front of you or higher. And try putting some sidespin on the ball as well as topspin.

  5. the toss is important. try to toss the ball about 2-3 feet in the air and as you hit it, make sure your hand is not bending backward. keep it straight.

  6. think of it as a hit. not a serve. start practicing your serve in the middle of the court, then start moving back everytime you make a serve
