Volleyball latest: FIVB offers new services on its Development website
The Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) is always working on new projects. Throughout the year, they come up with new exciting and attractive ideas to involve more and more people in the sport. A large number of fans are updated about FIVB happenings
through the internet. In this regard, the FIVB’s official website is the major source of information, which has almost everything what the fans want regarding the sport. That is why FIVB is always keen to add new features on its website.
In the recent memory, the news has been released from the head office of FIVB in Lausanne, Switzerland that they have worked out a new catchy development section on the website. It has been officially launched on Wednesday, 1st December 2010.
Some other changes have also been made on the website, which will make it more accessible for users. The fans can browse through the website for checking the latest Volleyball Cooperation Programmes. In addition, the new interface of website offers more
convenience to access Volleyball Festivals and complete information about the world-wide Development Centres of FIVB. Moreover, the FIVB Development Fund page can also be viewed by the enthusiasts. The purpose of Development Fund is to help the National Federations,
which run different courses for learners.
Besides this, new features such as slideshow and highlights of recent courses add more value to the website. The information about running and completed courses can also be obtained. There is a calendar which lists all the upcoming events in the season.
The new features will surely make the website successful and it will get more hits.
Helgi Thornsteinsson, the FIVB Technical and Development Director, who played an instrumental role in the development of this new section on the website, explained the main purpose and objective of this amendment on the website. He said, "The new section
has been designed to streamline all the information on the previous development page, making it easier for website visitors to access whatever they need. This new area of the website is a lot more accessible and dynamic, and exactly matches the image we want
fans of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball to see. The improvement to the section is a credit to a number of departments at the FIVB and their continued hard work to improve the website."
