  1. I definitely think that you should stick with volleyball. Volleyball is a sport that requires serious skill and you are already on your way to becoming a great player. All it takes is practice and more practice! In two more years, I would not be surprised if you made varsity if you kept with the volleyball.

  2. Well you should do what you really wanna do.

Just because your whole family did cheer doesnt mean you have to.But if it was me I would do volleyball(cheerleading is not my thing).

  3. Hi,

I say that you should become a volleyball player because then if you're REALLY good then you can probably become famouse and for cheerleading, yeah I know it's very fun and all, but all you do is cheer people on and you can't get anything for doing that.

So yeah, my opinion is that you should become a volleyball player!!

    Shirly

  4. Volleyball definitely, you earn a whole lot more respect.

  5. i like vball but for u do both

  6. Take it from someone who did Cheerleading and Volleyball her whole life. If you have to choose, go with volleyball. Because volleyball is all the fun parts of cheerleading, just add in a ball. :)

  7. VOLLEYBALL!!!!!!!!!!

  8. you kind of sound like you are only doing cheerleading because of what your family does.  you shouldn't base your decisions on that. do what you want to do, not what your family did. and if you have a future in volleyball in college, go for it! it sounds like it would be worth it to keep going with volleyball.

  9. I would stick with volleyball. It is better and you could play it in college. Don't feel obligated to cheer, your family will understand.

  10. i have kinda the same prob. but im going to 9th grade....but dont do cheerleading because u feel obligated, do it because u want to do it and have a passion 4 it, if ur good at volleyball and really like it, i would go for it....u snd like u really like it and r good at it soo GO 4 IT!!

    GOOD LUCK ♥♥

    hope i helped

  11. If you love volleyball then just do it.  Your family will understand.

  12. HELLO?!?!? if you love to play volleyball, stick with it! you don't always have to do what your family does. trust me, i know that. my whole family plays soccer, but i was the one to stray away and play volleyball instead since it was my passion. and now, i am loving my life!! do whatever will make you happy to do. if volleyball is your passion don't give it up because everyone else in your family does cheer. if you love something, don't give it up.

  13. volleyball. short and simple

  14. Volleyball All the way. You should go for what YOU want to do. I actually think your family will be proud that you are doing something independently and not letting others decide for you. The answer? Plain and simple: Do what you want and you will be respected!

  15. Hey!!

I totally know what you're talking about. My grandma was head cheerleading coach at a private school, my mom being captain cheerleader. I tried out for cheer, I knew I could have made it, but I dropped out during the 3rd day of try-outs. I knew there was more I could do, that I would also enjoy doing. I liked cheering, but it wasn't what my heart was in. It's a cool hobby, but you need to dedicate your entire heart to something to be the best you can be. Go with whatever you know you can put 100% into. It sounds like VB.

  16. o wow...had a similar problem.....I play volleyball....recently tried out for cheer leading......Went to gymnastics for cheer leading and i twisted my knee....doctors say i might not be able to play (silly them I've been playing anyway lol)...You really should stick with volleyball if that what you want to....but realize that High school and college cheer leading is a whole new level....despite Wat people say cheer leading is very dangerous sport...and my doc told me its has the highest injury rate among highschoolers...so don't hurt yourself for something you don't have a passion for....GOOD LUCK

  17. you should do whatever you want, but i would so tottally pick volley ball cause their r cute guys at games and its a good way to get one!!

  18. Simple answer...do both.

At my school, volleyball is at a total different time than basketball cheerleading or wrestling cheerleading.  If this is the same at your school you could easily do both cheerleading and volleyball.  Look into it and you might be suprised how much you could do with both.

But if the different times are not available for you to be both a cheerleader and a volleyball player...i'd say go for the volleyball.  You sound like that is what you REALLY want and it sounds like your family would like that too.

    Hoped I helped.

Good Luck with whatever you choose.
