Volleyball or not?

I'm not good at volleyball but all my friends are on the team. But all my enemies are too. And one of them's mom is the coach, one mom I absolutely can't stand. her name is Vicky and she is annoying and rude and thinks she's really pretty but she's like got a huge but and pulls her pants up really high and has a big belly and red hair, her daughter is the same and thinks the same. I don't want to have to deal with all that but I am always bored during the wimter and I'm practically the only person who isn't on a school team because the only thing I play is fastpitch softball in the spring and early summer for a city league. It's kind of expensive to play and I feel guilty asking my mom for something I might not even like, especially since she just got me a new sewing maching because my other one was a bad machine and broke, the new machine was like $175

  1. Okay...

Volleyball is an awsome sport; correction: the best sport ;)

However, if you are not going to have fun playing it, because of the people, then don't play it! Because of the people, you are going to have a bad experience with volleyball and you are going to hate it...you might even love it! Also you said that you are not good at it and you like softball. If you don't like it or if you love softball, stay with softball! Just because all of your friends are playing volleyball, doesnt mean that you have to! So if i were you, i wouldn't join the team this year...go to a camp instead and invite all of your friends or wait another time when the people are nicer! Volleyball is a great sport, and i hope you are able to play it.

  2. i think that maybe you should wait and try next year. give yourself and your mom some more time to think about what you really want to do

  3. you know u don't have to b on the team bcause ur friend r on the team y can't u find wat u realy like and play

  4. just try it you will like volleyball i do

  5. volleyabll all the way.  there's nothing else in the world better.

  6. Why not find something that:  a) interests you during that time period to take up, and/or; b) expand your horizons to something completely different than a sport you're not good at and includes people you don't want to be around anyway - look for something intellectual, and establish a developmental exercise program to improve your softball while you're doing the new activity - then you do get the exercise in a planned, constructive way, while broadening your interests? Never hurts to learn something new...

  7. If you like sewing maching, you probably like to sit down and do some "real work". I would recommend that you invite some friends to your house and play "contract bridge".

"not volleyball" would be my vote.

Have fun... all year long, whole life.

  8. It seems like your thinking volleyball just because of your friends.  You never need to make a decision based on if your friends do it or not. Peer pressure all the way there...if you know that you arent going to like it, then dont do it. But if you think it might be fun to do for **you**...then try it out by playing with some friends in the gym to see if it works for you.
