  2. Hi, Heidi,

I could have guessed that ... you probably skipped warm up, or you did not spend enough time cooling down after your practice... but...

I would rather say that you might have worked too hard :)

See whether you can find a local Chinese Acupuncturist and help you with some sessions of massage. It helped me a lot when I got hurt (I wasn't even able to remove my t-shirt by myself).

  3. Does your school have a personal trainer? If so, go to them and they should be able to help you out. If your school doesn't have one, I suggest going to a doctor if the pain worsens or stays like it is now for the next few days. Our school has a personal trainer and she said that sometimes when you go to the doctor, they might give you a note that says you can't play for 10 days when really you only need 2 or 3 days off. But once you go to the doctor and they tell you that, you CAN'T play until the doctor says you can. Hopefully, your back will get better!

    Hope this helps!

  4. I would try going to a sport ingury doctor if it doesnt get any better. It might just be that you are not used to being in a certian position and stuff. But if it doesnt get better then i would consider talking to your parents about it. Maybe even physical therapy?

tell me how it works out.

    best of luck

  5. Go see the school's athletic trainer.  If not, go see your family doctor - especially if this hasn't cleared up by now.

Do you bend over severely when you pass or do footwork drills?  It sounds like you have a sciatic nerve thing going in the lower back.  I've had it (not from playing vb, but from bending over on my bike) and it could shelve your whole season if you don't rest it and strengthen your back.

    Good Luck
