  1. concentrate. have a high toss and hit the ball with the palm of your hand. it also helps to hit it as hard as you can. force is the key. also when you swing follow through with your arm it gives it more force

  2. i had the same problem. i don't know if this is the case for you but when i started out i just plain and simply wasn't strong enough. so i worked out my arms and now i get my serves everytime. also...try standing @ the 10 ft. line and serving it from there to the net. you wanna aim for the very top of the net...not over, but right at the top. then, keep stepping back further and further. this will help your projectile to get it high enough over the net. best wishes!!!

  3. try to make it hit your palm and it will be deadly and before you try it take your serving arm and hit it to the ground as hard as you can and it will get you warmed up and it helps

  4. Okay first off your question is confusing?? Are you needing help getting your hands over the net or serving? With serving I am going to assume you are over hand serving. I play varsity volleyball and i have for 6 years now and when we learned to serve over hand we did a ton of drills to help build strength and habit. The first one we did was we would stand in front of a mirror facing it and with one foot slightly in front of the other you toss the ball up and watch it hit the ground and what you are trying to do is get it to hit the ground right in front of the foot you serve with. If you are right handed then your right foot and viceversa with your left. Then we would stand about 10-15 feet away from the wall and find a spot on the wall alittle higher then the net would be and try to hit it there as many times as we could. Another thing we did alot was we would have a partner and we would start on the ten foot line one on each side and we would serve the ball to our partner and once we got 10-20 to each other we would take a step back and we would continue doing it until we took enough steps back to get to the serving line. A good drill to work on placing your serve is what we call around the world and you serve from one side and your partner is on the other and they stand in one postion on the court and they stand there until you serve them the ball where they can catch it with out moving and then they rotate to a different spot on the court and you continue doing that until all 6 positions have been served to. A good thing to remember when you are serving is that you toss the ball out in front of you and your toss is straight and not to high. Your toss is the most important thing.

With getting your hands above the net, you have to work on your jumps. Get a jump box which is about 2 feet off the ground and start on the top and jump down and right back up with out pausing. do about 10 of these repeditive before stopping. I usually do 3 sets of 15 everyday but you have to work up to that. Also do alot of jump roping and make sure you bring your knees to your chest when you jump rope that will also give you more height. Also weight bearing exercises that work your legs will give you more strength which will make you jump higher. If you have stairs run up them several times a day. You have to build your legs up to make you jump higher and when you increase the height of your jump then your hands will come over the net. I am an outside hitter/blocker and i am 5'3'' and i thought i would never be able to get over the net and now i can jump higher then the 5'8'' players on our team it just takes practice dont give up and good luck i hope this helped you out!

  5. ok well make your hand go all the way back, arch it and slam it hard. last week i got 18 serves in a row over like that

  6. hmm well im a varsity vollyball player (have been since freshman year) and ive been noticing that our JV team sux at serving and the girls that do excell in it use and open hand and dont think about it so much that ur freaking out. personally i use a two handed toss rather than a one because its easier to toss it wher i want it. but in order to get a good serve u have to toss directly over ur right shoulder( or left if ur left handed), take a step with ur left foot and swing with ur arm completely extended and if ur not strong enough to make it over try to throw ur body into it as well hope it helps
