  1. well i got mine VERY quick because i go to a really big school they only put girls who have there overhand serve on the team so ya

  2. about 3 months

  3. Took alot of practice,  I'd say 3 weeks but am still working on it!!

  4. less than a week i think to get it over alot.

but im still working on putting it where i want it to go.

  5. Well, it depends on how old you are and how much strength you have.  I started playing in the 7th grade, and by the beginning of the 8th grade season I had a overhand serve.  I play tennis A LOT, though, so that helped me.  I suggest practicing a lot whenever you can.  Every little bit helps.

  6. i have played since 5th grade

    learned underhand - 5th

    mastered underhand - 6th

learned overhand - summer btw 6th and 7th

    mastered overhand - 7th

so i guess two years.  its hard and dont get discourages.  repetition is key.

  7. i have been playing for 2 years and i still cant not do it! Its so frusterating. Im like the only one that cant do it!! But, sometimes i hit it with like my fists and then it goes over.

  8. 2 1/2 years....but I started when I was like 11 so I guess when I was 13/14? It gets easier as you get stronger

  9. i've been playing since sixth grade.

i'm in 9th now and i'm not trying to brag but i have one of the most powerful overhand serves out of anyone at my school it took a lot of practice but i finally got it like june of '07

  10. 2 seasons.

i havnt played in a while so im prolly pretty rusty, but, just practice practice practice!

  11. i started serving underhand at first so it was harder to make the transition into overhand serving... i was terrible at first but with time i got better.. it took me about 2 months to get 8/10 serves over the net and in good place... with more practice you just get better and better...

  12. Well, I've been playing for 5 years(since 7th grade), and I finally nailed that tricky overhand serve right at the end of my junior year-which was 2 seasons later since I first played volleyball at a high school level. Even though my serve definitely improved even more when I got on varsity my senior year.

But again, that's what I get for only serving underhand for the first 3 years because that's a very hard transition.

  13. 6 months until i was actuall very accurate and could place it where i needed it

  14. i started playing when i was on the b team (5th) in elementary school and i was influenced by my sister so i practiced a lot and nailed it at the end of my first year.

so it took me about two months. =]

  15. no ever prefects it but I got pretty go within my first year I'd say

  16. Two days.

I was able to serve 8 out of 10 into the other side of the court after two afternoons' practice, after my PE teacher told us there was such thing called overhand serve. We were asked to serve 5 out of 10 to get an A.

  17. I started out serving overhand

  18. it took me about..... 5 weeks but sometimes i still mess up

  19. i started on my elemnentary school team 3 years ago

i din't start working on my serve till bout a year ago

i nailed it 5 months later

  20. like the first practice took me 2 tries to get it my coach help me make sure you do it right!

  21. been playing for 2 years and still haven't. good luck

  22. it didn't take me very long, I knew how to do it, but when i was younger i almost didn't have enough strength to, but now i rarely ever miss
