  1. It depends on what you like, but most likely your coaches will guide you into the area that you will be most successful at, and the area that you will most likely help the team at. 5'7 is not very tall for volleyball, so unless you have a large vertical, you may want to focus on defense or setting. But if you can jump, then outside may be an option too.  Most likely your coaches will not have you deciding which position you want to play, they will decide for you.

  2. hi i am korissa i am a 14yr old to and i have been playing for about 9 years!  i think that you might be a reallt good middle hitter because of how tall you are and that the middles most of the time can pass too!  so e-amil me back so i can help

  3. as a high school varsity and club coach the most important players that I have are NOT my big hitters (I do like them a lot though)..... they are my Libero or DS.  If you can pass then you will definitely make the higher level teams.  At your height and age you may or may not grow another few inches.  If you do, passing will be a compliment to any hitting skills that you learn or have.  If not then you will be a killer Libero/DS.  Remember that even the best hitter you know couldn't have a chance if the setter can't get a pass on serve recieve.  Oh, and try out for the team.  Some of the others may not like the fact that you made the team without trying out, no matter how good you are remember you are on a team.  Good luck!

  4. the best player is a player that can play all around. what you ABSOLUTELY need to be able to do is pass. after that if you're 5'7 depending on how tall the rest of the team is, a good position is outside hitter. its fun. but a setter is always a good position to be able to play. but it takes lots of responsibility

  5. well... 5'7 is a good avrage height for a girl your age, if you can jump i would sugest Middle or Power, if you cant jump setting is your next option

  6. Well in number 3 or 6. The most important players play in those positions. You have a greater responsibility there

  7. Middle for sure you'll be roofin everybody!

  8. since you are tall you should either b a outside hitter or a setter

  9. Well, the best way to figure this out is to take a ball and go outside. If you can consistently set good sets you may want to try setter. If you can dish out good sets but not consistent the try for right side. (also helpful if your lefty) If this is your first year playing middle may be a lot to handle. It's the most complex. If you are not a high jumper try for librero. Only if you can dig a ball.

  10. it all depends on your skills.

to become a setter, you should be quick on your feet and always moving. if you have phenomenal hands, go for being a setter.

but at your height, i think hitting would be a better choice. depending on how high you jump, you could be either an outside, middle or even opposite hitter. middles are meant for the girls who can block as well as hit.

if your passing and defense is your strongest traits, you may want to be a libero which is a defense specialist.

  11. it depends on your height and how quick you can run.

i play middle blocker and i LOVE it!!! it feels great to intimidate the people on the other team by slamming their glory-filled hits right back down in their faces!!!!!!!!!

  12. If you are a taller girl on the team you should play middle. If you good at setting, be a setter. not so tall but can still hit and play defense leftside hitter!
