  1. im 14 but iv been playing vb 4 5 years now get some muscle so u can do a over hand serve if u can do tht then trust me u wont make it on the team. And take a vb and bump it up in the air alot so u can get control plus practice setting  GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

  2. ummm..... you can go to volleyball camps over the summer and they teach you really cool stuff!!!!  I went to Volleyball camp its really fun.

  3. heyy

well im a softmore now in high skol

but i had the same prob as u my freshman year

well get your self into shape

run everyday..run stairs too(make ur legs strong) get upper body strength..nd do jumps(dats when you jump near the all as high as u can nd touch the tips of ur finger on the wall for bout 30 sec. the betta u get more time you add) ect.

but the really thing u have to do is play volleyball

get a group of ppl dat knos how 2 play volleyball nd ask to play along

the only way for u to get da game nd da skills is by playing it

  4. Work on your vertical leap! There are lots of great methods for improving your vertical leap (just search on vertical leap). My favorite exercise is using milk crates. (Outdoors in the grass or soft dirt is best) Place one milk crate on each side of you. Jump up onto one, then jump down, jump up to the other and repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps. Then jump over each crate over and over for 3 sets of 10 reps. If you have the room, do standing long jumps 10 times. Monitor your vertical leap height and you will see it go up fast! Good Luck!

  5. Simply start. What I mean is that you do not need to do vertical leap testing or weight training to get on a team. Simply tryout. What you need to understand is that most girls around the country have been playing for about 3 years by the time high school comes around. However, don't let that dissuade you. Just realize that you must work hard and don't think you don't stand a chance because "Stephanie" or "Jill" can pass so much better than you.

Coaches can see potential, hustle, good attitude, and upswing just as well as they can also see poor attitude, lazy work ethic, and lack of motivation. Don't give up on yourself.

Work with the coach, let them know that you realize you are a little behind (possibly) but that you are willing to do what it takes to learn the sport.

Volleyball is not easy and a lot of people think it's an easy letter in high school. Not so. It's a very athletically demanding skill sport and one that takes loads of work to even be average.

Congratulations on your interest in one of the better sports in the world and I hope you make your team

  6. JUMPROPE!!!! thats my main advice it helps ur verticle alot also try a different sport like track to get u ready or softball

  7. running, situps, core strength. Look at some web sites, so you can find a routine that works 4 u!

  8. if you're by yourself just run alot and build up your endurance, then try weightlifting. If you have a group of friends who you can practice with that would be good too. Just practice passing a lot, then setting a lot. Just set up matches and you'll be all ready to go in no time. But running and weightlifting are the best things you can do actually.

  9. do weight trraining,push ups,curl ups,run,sprint,do suicides,go to a gym, and do 10,9,8's

    10,9,8's are:

you do 10 jumping jacks,10 leg opens where you jump and open your legs then jump back to where your legs are together, then 10 scissors where your like run in place putting one leg in front of you with the other behind you then alternate(these go faster then the other 2,finally put your arms above you and just jump up,then repeat this  and do 9 of each, then 8 of each, and so on untill u get all the ay to 0. ur first time ppl usually get to only like 7 cause its very tiring. but its made muscle building
