Volleyball question...?

okay so i went to volleyball practice today and i hurt my arms really bad. my grandma says that i should put tape on my arms but i dont understand. how do i put the tape on and is there any specific tape i should get? i know my arms are bad because i just started playing today but i need help. oh, and where can i find some good kneepads like they ones volleyball players use. any tips on volleyball would be great. thanks. :)

Are your arms sore or actually hurt?  If the muscles are sore, it is because you haven't worked out this much before and you've exhausted the muscles.  Buy IcyHot or another sports creme for sore muscles at any pharmacy.  If you actually hurt your joints or pulled the muscles, you may need to tape the muscles with special tape called athletic tape, or use a sports wrap.  If your school has an athetic trainer, go to them and let them show you the correct way to put it on, because each type of injury has to be treated in a different way.  If you don't have a trainer, ask your coach to show you - but only when practice isn't going on.  You can buy kneepads at Academy or online.  I recommend Mizuno brand, but Nike makes good ones too.  I also recommend wearing ankle braces to protect your ankles from sprains.  Academy sells those too.
