  1. do it like a spike throw the ball up and runn and hit it but dont go past the lines

  2. Hit it with a stiff hand & wrist. And where you follow through with your hand is where the ball is going to go.

  3. flatten ur hand with your fingers together and follow thru on ur swing

  4. this didn't take long to master but you do need practice. most of it is in the toss. not too high and most importantly toss it IN FRONT of you. in this way you can see the ball as it comes down. personally, open-hand serves are much easier to do and to control. you need to hit it with the palm of your hand. stepping can add a lot of control and distance with your serve. remember opposition- stepping with te opposite foot you throw with. in this case hit or serve. after serving you should be in a "ballerina" posistion. your serving arm should be extended out and your opposite leg should be pointed. your body will be at a perfect angle. if you do this, almost every time you'll get a hard controlled serve that can reach as far as the back line. your opponents will think its out and let it drop. if you want a short range serve that's hard to return, then add some top spin by hitting the ball hard towards the top center of the ball. this will make the ball get out of your opponents control. good luck. i hope this helps. im glad to give tips to anyone who needs them

  5. It's simple, hard hand!

  6. What u need to do find a spot on the ball where u know u will beable to aim at each time and make sure u hit that spot....... Just 4 the velocity, U want the ball to have speed. I Hope get it Good Luck

  7. For beginners, try underhand serves first.  You'll serve farther and more accurately for sure.  Overhand serves need a lot of strength if you strike the ball with your open palm.  While serving underhand, don't try to throw the ball and then try to hit it.  Roll the ball using your left hand and strike with the reight hand in a smooth motion.

  8. lean forward with both arms straight out

    bend the knees

    keep your arms straight

swing to your foot that is in front and then just hit it(still at an angle)

  9. make sure you throw it in front of you not above. Walk into it. If you can, try to jump serve

  10. well I'm not too sure about overhand but here's underhand:

OK, so you do the serving stance, you know, the whole thing with the opposite foot forward, and ball out in your hand, and stuff. When you serve, hit it with the bottom part of your hand, palm up. It should make a nice thwacking noise. To make it go further, you have to come up more. What I mean is bend by your knees when you serve and then come up from your bent position. Also when you serve the only thing you should be thinking of is the ball and where you want it to go. Not "My arms  itchy" or "I'm hungry" and worst of all, "I can't do this". NEVER EVER think that!!! Because then your confidence level goes down. Anyways, point your toe to where you want it to go. Say if you step towards this girl on the other team because she's bad at getting first ball up, then point your foot towards her. Once that's done, focus on the ball until you've hit it. Also, if the ref lets you, you can sometimes do a running start to your serve, like a few steps and THEN hit it. That has helped loads of people on my team, me included. Hope this helps.

Oh and P.S., It helps to pretend that the ball is someone's head that your really angry at, annoys you, or whatever. It works very well ;) Good luck!

  11. when u over hand serve u dont use your arm! u use your upper body strength. if u use ur arm u WILL throw it out. learn to use ur body into ur arm swing thats da only way u'll get a better serve. re: always have good ball contact w/ ur palm on the back/ bottom of the ball. dont be completely on top of the ball like ur hitting(spiking) or of course ur ball will go state down or into the net. if you want top spin, snap ur wrist at the end of ur swing make sure ur toss isright in front of ur swinging or serving arm. if ur right handed stand with ur left leg out and ur right leg under u. the ball should be w/in ur left and right leg:) good luck

  12. To serve father, just use the same form you've been using for your short serve, but make your arm swing faster. Power isn't as important as speed, however doing push ups will also help.

  13. well if u want to serve, just practice at it!!! thats all i did. and if u want to hit that ball HARD, then once u get the serve down, try hitting it with ur palm. it really helps!

  14. Ok, I will teach you like we are serving overhand.

First you get in the right poisition witch is... For example you are right handed your left foot would be in front and your right foot would be in back. Were ever you left foot is pointed to thats were the ball is going to go and I usuaualy point it straight and you right foot can be almost pointed anywere.

Now you have the ball in you left hand and it is about a little over waste high.

Throw your toss up pretty high enough for you to take a step and hit it. So you through it up, step with you left foot. Your hand should be up in the air and have it mostly straightened straight.

Step.. Power hit it as you are folowing through. Almost as hard as you can.

Remember before you do all of that stuff TAKE YOU TIME!!

I hope your serves inprove and I hope my advice helped!!!!!!!

  15. ITS VERY SIMPLE,  a major part of serving is the toss, so don't toss too high- that will cause u to hit the ball upwards instead of straight, second work on whats called a FLOAT serve , this is the most powerful serve and usually goes pretty far.

  16. overhand serve. do some strength training for upper body.

  17. you have to strengthen your arm so the ball will go further

  18. Don't lob it over the net. Try to serve with speed, on a line drive. And aim for the side lines. It's harder to return a volleyball if it's not hit directly at you.

  19. you can either practice on not lobbing up your serves or you can get as close to the line as possible and you can practice on hitting strait, hard shots to an exact spot!

  20. make sure to hit it with a lot of speed and strength  after you hit the ball make sure your arm is straight down by your leg and not across your body

  21. When you serve, dont toss too high, just enough to get it over. If you toss too high. your swing will probably be slower. So if you toss lower and swing faster the ball should go farther. Oh yea, dont completely follow through. stop as if you hit a wall. (if you follow through all the way, then your serve will go down.) :)
