Question

why are volleyball players so tall? can someone please tell me why?

I&#039;m only 5&#039;&#039;3&#039; and ive been playing volleyball for 6+ years. I think its because you really need to reach over the net but you don&#039;t need to be tall to play a sport you really love!

It&#039;s like basketball, the taller they are the higher they can reach to spike and block and reach to get the ball.  Not all good hitters are tall.  I was number one hitter on my high school and college team and I&#039;m only 5&#039;7.  I just had a good vertical jump and strong legs.

It is so they can hit and spike! A girl on my team was 5&#039;4&#039;&#039; and had an amazing spike and was amazing at blocking! It also depends on the person!!
