Volleyball special: the latest buzz on the 2011 Warrior Games
It may sound a little odd but it is true that Warrior Games is an athletic event in United States of America, which provides a unique opportunity to physically impaired personnel of U.S. army. This is the second annual Warrior Games, which will welcome around
200 injured, wounded and other ill service members of U.S. military. The aspiring players from all branches of army will get a chance to stage their talent. The event is scheduled to be held on May 16 to May 21, 2011. The Olympic Training Centre in Colorado
Springs, Colo. will host the amazing sports extravaganza. The event will feature a host of activities such as, swimming, archery, shooting, cycling, and wheelchair basketball, while sitting volleyball will be an essential part of the campaign.
In this connection, University of Central Oklahoma is going to host a training camp for the sitting volleyball players. The camp will be organised from January 7-9 at the Central’s Wellness Centre. The training facility will be designed to accommodate 50
wounded U.S. army members. The top ten contenders will be selected to play at the Warrior Games. The training plan has been finalised to conduct the three-day training camp. The participants of the Sitting Volleyball session will be initially divided into
two groups by coaches on the first day of the camp. Each player will be given individual training.
After the individual training, the participants will be split into six teams. The team-based training will further improve their grip on the ball. The players will form different combinations, in order to give better performance.  The event will be opened
for general people without any cost.

The Volleyball Coordinator of Central’s Sitting Volleyball, Elliot Blake expressed his views about the campaign. He said, "The highlight for Central in hosting this training camp is the opportunity to showcase our program and what we have to offer injured athletes.
Central is home to both men's and women's USA Sitting Volleyball teams, and from a team standpoint, it gives us a chance to identify athletes for national team consideration." He further added: "Sitting volleyball was considered one of the more competitive
and exciting sport competitions of last year's Warrior Games, and we want to make sure sitting volleyball continues to be just as competitive in the future."
The sitting volleyball is a very positive activity as it serves as great support for the injured members of army.
