  2. Stay low, eyes on the ball. Keep a eye on your area. And stay on top of the game. Oh and make sure to make it known when u got the ball.... GOT IT!

  3. Practice, practice and practice. Plus, always stay low and be ready for anyhting!

  4. on what serves, passes, sets, ect..

  5. When you do your hitting approach, think about reaching backwards. You will automatically swing your arms upwards and earn yourself 1-3 inches of vertical.

Buy a volleyball. Just having it around will make you think about your techniques and you'll be able to practice setting.

  6. Bend your knees, don't wait for the ball to come to you, call it when you have it, work with your team, wear knee pads.

  7. It's all about the big "F" word...focus.

If you expect the next ball to come to you, you're ready!

Make sure you move two small adustment steps with every touch of the ball...it will keep you focused and ready for the next play.

Communicate. Talk about the play like you're a sports broadcaster but use one word cues..."short, out, mine, cross, free, down" etc. It will make you more focused, again, and more comfortable on the court.

Be aggressive. If you think, "Oh, just hit the ball in" then you are toying with your timing and tensing your muscles so you can't play the ball as fluid.

Test your limitations...go all out. There are two rules in every gym you play in...they're on the wall if you have the right attitude...1. Go to every ball 2. If you can't get to every ball, refer back to rule #1.

Don't regret how you played at the end of the game. Play every point like you're down a point...even if the score is 3-3. If you play hard at the beginning of the game, you may not have to scramble at the end of the game.

Be positive and be supportive. Be the type of teammate you want from others. This is a game of mistakes...no one makes mistakes on purpose. You don't have to hug and kiss someone who has just hit the ball into the net, but dirty looks will just intimidate her. Hit her hand, say something positive, and focus onto the next play.

Don't be a whiner...it's contagious. Support your coach.

Run on and off the court, to and from time outs, during drills, shagging, etc. It's contagious and your teammates will follow you.

Be in the correct posture and position on the court to play the ball and then you can be as aggressive as you want! Be risky!

  8. Stay low

Dont loose the points in wrong service(it wud be a bonus for opposite team)

Say "yes" before hiting the ball

  9. stay down, and ready, keep moving your feet! Just visualize the ball always coming to you so you will stay ready. Swing your arms all the way back and start at the 10 foot line for a good approach on your spiking, and always call the ball LOUD and cheer for your team!
