1. look confident and theyll notice it. Messing up a few times isnt a big deal unless you freak out.

  2. Keep your butt low step into it if its a slow or fast one and make sure your arms are the same length. DON'T JUMP INTO THE BUMP COACHES HATE THAT!!!

  3. poison all of your competitors. They will pay

  4. spike the ball at your opponents head

  5. Hit it with the inside of your arms and you should get more control. make sure you stay low and step in to the pass also.

  6. Passing is very important in volleyball, if you are a great passer, a coach is not going to pass you by.

Keep your passes inside your body, this means you have to keep the ball in front of you. When you pass, you need to keep your platform level and push your thumbs to the floor. Also, you have got to stay low, that keeps the ball from going up and behind you. Always square up to your target(setter), if your setter is in right front pos., that is where you should square up to.

If you do mess up, figure out what you did wrong, figure out how to fix it and then move on. A coach doesn't like a player that dwells on mistakes, it just causes more mistakes for that individual, and make the rest of the team feel down.

    I hope this helps!

    Good Luck!

  7. If it always goes sideways, you're probably not keeping your arms locked. To keep them this way, practice the arm and leg movements without a ball. Make sure your elbows are locked and you're providing the ball with a flat plane (your inside forearms) to bounce off of. Bend your knees and use your body to direct where you want the ball to go (to your setter). Just practice he arm and leg movements (ready position, shuffle, arms together ready to recieve) over and over again. Eventually it just becomes second nature!

  8. Stay low and keep your body (and feet) behind the ball. Don't swing your arms, but use your legs more. And square up, don't keep your feet moving. Your feet need to be in place, because it you are running through the ball it could go anywhere.

  9. try and keep your arms together, and always keep your eyes on the ball, but if the ball is going to your side than you gotta move quik and get behind the ball so u can bump the ball to your target.

  10. Make sur eyou keep your arms straight, bend your kees and use them to lift up and hit it! dont swing try and keep your arms locked and tap it cause a little goes along way. also try and blok everyone else out so nothing distracts you and remeber to practice practice practice you will get better!!!!! Good luck!
