  1. I am on my school's team and I would practice against the wall with serves and sets. Also practice your line drops which is to drop the ball in front of you like u r goin to do a over hand serve and try to drop it in the same spot and try to keep the ball high, and also encourage others, ur coach will like that you have high spirits for others and dont get mad at yourselve if you mess up. And ask someone who has played before for any pointers. Just email me if you have any questions, I am on my second season.

  2. Well this really depends on your area that you'll be playing, frontline or backline.  It usually depends on how tall you are...if you're above 5'7 you're frontline [[ if this is highschool]].  You will need to have VERY strong legs so do squats, leg curls, leg extentions, and calve raises.  You'll also need to be able to react quickly so work on short sprints [[20 yards]] and do slides...[[get low and move sideways as fast as you can without crossing over your feet]].  And work on your over hand serve, just serve some balls over the net, about 30 each day. [[really focus, don't just go through the motions]]  Then work on your setting and passing...you'll need someone to help you.  Have someone who know what they're doing.  ask one of the girls who has experience playing with the coach, they'll help you out the most and have them run some drills with you.  hit balls to you so you can work on defense and have them serve some so you can work on passing and set so you can hit. good luck!

  3. when you try out for volleyball, the coaches are going to test you on the basic fundamental skills. these skills are bumping, setting, serving, blocking, digging and hitting. they will probably run drills that deal with each of these different things. as for getting in shape, you should work out your arms and legs so you get strength in them. running wouldn't be a bad idea, but in my opinion it's not necessary because at most in volleyball you sprint. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "what do you do in volleyball" can you please specify and then i'll try to do my best to help you
