Volleyball training and conditioning.?

It's my off season right now. Volleyball starts up again in January. Since I've stopped playing, my back muscles are knotted up. It's very painful. I also need to stay in shape for next season. Any conditioning or training ideas to help me stay fit and make my back feel better?

  1. I would do a lot of jumping. I jump up stairs (skip every other one). Or ladders (u no the ones that lie on the ground made out of rope) those help with foot work and speed. Try running about 3 times a week and doing daily stretches that you can feel. Wimpy toe touches isn’t gonna do u any good. There is a really good abs work out but it hurts after 25 really bad: you take you hands and make like a triangle and put it under your tail bone and lie on your back. You slowly bring your legs up and down repeatedly with out touching the ground. You really feel a burn, it’ll give you a six pack after a while doing it. Another one is if you take a hand towel and put it on a smooth floor-no carpet-and put you hands on it and you feet on the ground. Run across the floor, sliding with you towel on your hand. Sounds simple but it not for long distances. I would also do a lot of push ups and sit ups and side crunches!!! FUN!!! If you work out hard a lot when the season comes you won’t be sore. God luck with everything

  2. When i was in 8th grade volleyball my coach always had us do a lot of stuff to stay in shape. We had to do 30 push ups and sit ups. We also had to do wall jumps. What really helps is running everyday to stay fit. I hoped I helped some BYE!

  3. just find a gym and do your normal practices

  4. run and do some regular conditioning like you might have done during your season like planks and sit ups and push-ups. also if you can get into the weightroom at your school that may help

  5. try running on a tredmil or just running outside

    push-ups/sit-sits

this one sucks but up downs volleyball style they hurt but keep you very fit
