  1. Nice name, lol.

  2. Start running!!!

Run around your block every day about a mile or so because generally coaches make you run a mile!!

Hit the Gym!! do strength training ...or if you can't get to one try doing lunges and wallsits to get your legs strengthened.. to strenghthen arms just do pushups or things like pilates or taebo!

Also to jump higher,, jump up and down as high as you can for 5 minutes a day trust me it works!!!

Practice your volleyball skills etc. bumping setting, hitting, and serving so you're ready!!

When i comes to a few days before tryouts start eating healthier

Tuna and fish are really great protein and bagels are really good carbs!!!

Drink lots of water that'll help you get in shape and will allow you to go longer!

Don't be nervous be confident the day of it will help you to focus and have a positive attitude!!!

Good luck!! my tryouts are in 6 days!!!

  3. i know someone tryign out for volleyball and they are taking speed and agility training.  Although i am not sure how much that will help you with the skills so if i were you i would just carry my volleyball everywhere with me and practice whenever i get a chance

  4. Well i'm in the middle of volleyball tryouts and what we do are crunches, pushups, running, kareoke, jumping on your left foot, then right foot, then both, all different streches, and we run around the whole gym 2 times in the beginning.and let me tell you it's a lot of hard work!

  5. I play for volleyball at college and the best things to help for volleyball quickly are sprints, jumps, and eating right.

Go out in the yard or on a street, (preferably one not used to often) and sprint about 100 meters as fast as you can. give yourself about a 30 second break, and then go back to the beginning as fast as you can. You can start off doing this 10 times, and then increase as you think you can do more. This helps your explosiveness in both defense and jumping.

Jumping is obviously a very important part of volleyball but it's boring to just jump in one spot. Two ideas for this. A jump-rope is a volleyball players best friend. It gives them great endurance and good reflexes in their legs. Jump-rope as fast as you can for a minute stop for 15 or 20 seconds, and then repeat 4 more times. The second idea is to run stairs. Find a long set of stairs, preferably straight but if you can't find any, curved ones are fine. Run up them as fast as you can hitting every step. Then slowly jog down. take a breath, then explode up the steps again except this time, skip steps, just go fast. Repeat this for 5 times.

Your diet does not have to be intense but precise. it's not what you should eat and drink but what you should not eat and drink. Don't drink soda or red bull or things like that. Don't eat candy, or pizza, or chocolate covered pretzels( they are really good though). Look more for healthy breakfast cereals, fruits, vegetables, and most importantly, WATER!!! water is very good for the body not just because the body is made up for it, but fat dissolves in it. If you are trying to lose those few extra pounds, plenty of water will speed up the process.

Good luck with your tryouts. i hope this advice helps you.
