Volleyball tryouts??

i have volleyball tryouts on the 27th and i was wondering if anyone knew what kind of things that the coaches look for in order to decide what team to put you on.

  1. I just had tryouts and i would definetly say you should talk a ton! Also be a team player and always try your best but dont over try! Like when a coach is looking dont over try and look stupid just try and do what you can!


  2. Most coaches look for not only skill but athletes that try hard, give it their all, and show that they want to play, along with a good attitude. Of course having the basic bumping, hitting & serving skills makes a difference but the other things are important too.

  3. They are most likely looking for volleyball skills but I can't be sure without knowing the coaches personally. They could be looking for a certain shoe type, or even your vocal accent some coaches can be very particular about the way their players say the actual word "volleyball". Start practicing different pronunciations of the word " volleyball" in the mirror today and you will be ready for the tryouts on the 27th, try putting the accent on a different  letter everytime you say it, i know all this because I was great at volleyball in highschool, but i never made the team because when I say volleyball it sounds more like bollyboll.
