Volleyball tryouts (vball coaches help?)

for volleyball tryouts, what are coaches looking for? also, if tryouts are only on one day, what if you are a really good player but having an off day?

Coaches are looking for girls who are loud bring a positive attidue to the court and are coachable. if you have that but your skills arent quite to par as another girl but she has a bad attidue chances are they might pick you.

And theirs nothing you can really do except hope you dont have an off day and just go out trying your hardest.

I am an Asst Coach. We look for good skill levels, athletic ability and size (height) Our try outs are normally 2 days long....4 hours each. If I see a play I can tell right away if they are good or not. Bad day or not I can still tell. Proper form is proper form, Even if a person shanks some passes we can still tell how good they are.

Mostly coaches only touch the bases, so if you can do good passes, blah blah... really that's all they look for, who has the bases to improve on
