Volleyball update: Misty May-Treanor to train at volleyball clinics in Maui
The two-time Olympic gold medallist Misty May-Treanor will conduct M2 volleyball clinics in the coming week. The clinics will feature indoor volleyball as well the beach sessions alternatively. This would be a great chance for the aspiring young girls and
boys, helping them learn new techniques related to the sport. Initially Maui’ Kanaha Beach Park in Hawaii will host the beach session on January 3rd, 2011 from 3 to 6 p.m. Likewise, the Seabury Hall in Makawao, Maui island will be conducting the indoor volleyball
clinic on January 4th, 2011. The training session will be continued from 5 to 8 pm. Major sponsors for the event include Gatorade, Mikasa Sports, Roxy Athletix, and ZAMST.
M2 Volleyball will be serving as the main organiser of these clinics, which is founded by Misty May-Treanor. May-Treanor recently attended the 2010 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Annual Convention, awarding AVCA All-American and Player of
the Year accolades to the volleyball players.
May-Treanor is renowned for the love of the sport, and keeps on striving for its growth. The formation of M2 Volleyball is reflective of her passion and dedication towards volleyball. While discussing about the upcoming volleyball clinics, she said: “I am
really looking forward to working with all of the young boys and girls who love the sport of volleyball in Hawaii. I’m energized by their love of the game and am excited to share some of what I have learned over the years with them.”
The M2 Volleyball management has set up all necessary arrangements to facilitate the participants of indoor and beach volleyball clinics. The clinics will progress in segments and different learning modules being offered to the attendees. The participants
will be allowed to have direct interaction with the volleyball sensation Misty May-Treanor.
The registration for the clinics is still open. All the necessary information relating to the schedule and registration can be obtained from Misty May-Treanor’s personal website. May-Treanor is hopeful for a successful run of the clinics. It is expected
that a large number of people will show up at the training camps.
