  1. sounds great I wish I had a coach that would make me work that hard, the coach I  had in vb sucked

  2. haha that sounds like my first year of varsity, make sure you stick with it, it will make you way better than the competition! and of course you will lose weight. i had a work out like that and i lost around 20lbs that i didnt need to lose within 2 weeks

  3. i think it sounds pretty decent, but Core strength is KEY to being a good hitter and it helps overhand serves too, so i would also add in this workout.. it works your ENTIRE core, not just your upper abdomen like crunches.

this is a great site and magazine for fitness and health tips!

but it has a specific core workout that works wonders, so i'd definately try it.. you only have to do it 2-3 times a week, and it only takes 20 minutes!

    good luck!!

  4. I think you need to add weight training you need to hav estrong muscles to jump, and hit. do some other exercises for your abs not just crunches, try planks or lemons. use weights when you do lunges. also thing quality not quanity dont do 1000 jump ropes if you are not going to try real hard on them pick a smaller number. do some sprints. in volleyball everything is fast paced so do some agility drills.

also do some block jumps amd appoaches each day

    hope this helps

  5. I think its a pretty good Volleyball work out.. but When I think about the one what I had...and still have. its sounds easy.. for someone who is playing volleyball more then 6 Years.. mhmmm... I think its good... I have more running ..everyday several miles... as little warm up... than around the same jump ropes.... but crunches are way more than you have.. I have around 1000 or more... and the rest of your workout is good.. good luck with your training

  6. just the right amount. yeah, u will probably lose some weight.

  7. sounds pretty good.....you should add in running up bleachers or  hang cleans.......those will get your vertical leap up alot....then add in some tricep work outs for hitting....and dont forget ankle strengthening......i played at Long Beach State and we did these types of workouts religiously....they help alot when season comes....

    good luck

  8. i think that's a great workout. we have to do workouts like that for my team (we do a ton of jump rope and running too!) and they help alot. This will make you soo much stronger as a volleyball player, and just as an athlete.

Make sure you take weekend off tho. You don't want to get burned out!!

  9. h**l yea!
