  1. just wear a stud, that way it wont tear ur ear or anything

  2. You can not wear earrings during warmups or during the match.  That is by the rules.  If it is noticed by the referees, you will have two choices.  Take them out or sit out.

Even if the rules allowed it, you do not want to do it.  I teach USAV refereeing clinics and I use a picture of a player's ear after the earring was ripped out during a volleyball match.  Tape or a band aid would not stop that.

  3. I had my ears pierced just b4 volleyball season....so i couldn't take em' out yet.... they make u put tape or a bandaid over them....they so this so ur earrings don't get ripped out.....

  4. I got mine done the week after volleyball ended, but if you want them done now, I would tape them over. This is perfectly acceptable, I've seen it done.

  5. put a teeny(and i mean TEENY) spacer in it

if the spacer is small enough, it should just look like pure skin with a tiny hole in it

but i dont know if you should swap earrings so i would tape it up, i saw a girl from my old school do it once and she was fine

  6. well i think it depends - you're in high school, right? well volleyball season just started and a girl on the team just got her ears pierced, but during the game she just tapes it up, and nobody says anything. maybe the rules around you are different, though i highly doubt it. i'm pretty sure it's okay - ask your coach to be safe, though.

  7. i personally would wait until the season is over.

some refs call things like that and some don't- you never know if they will.

i guess if you did get them your best bet would be to cover them up with small skin colored bandaids.

a lot of the refs at my school are old and blind to, hahah.

  8. i just herd that there was a new rule that said that nothing could be worn on your ears not a band aid or not even a piece of tape so i would just wait till after season if possible good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. you cant wear any jewlry in a game. i had to take off a bracelet that had sentimental reason for me but i still had to take it off. either take it off or dont play. because they do have the rules for a reason. you can get cut easily or get hurt easily with jewlry on. i think you should get your ears pierced after volleyball season

edit: the coach said even if you got your ears pierced a day before a game or something, they'd make you take it out

  10. there is a new rule stating that you cannot have any metal or plastic on your body unless it is medically required. you cannot have earrings, necklaces, bracelets (or any jewelry), no bobby pins in your hair, and no barrettes/plastic headbands/ or ribbons hanging from your hair. sorry about this to all of those girls out there. i had a foreign exchange student on my boys volleyball team and he was forced to take his brand new earring out. he had just gotten it pierced the day before. my team even lost a point for it. so NO JEWELRY ON THE COURT AT ALL!!!!

  11. It really depends on the ref.

I think covering with band-aids are the best way to go :)

  12. you used to be able to tape piercings, but they usually call a warning, or automatically red flag your team (a penalty of negative points, one timeout taken away, etc.) if you get called on it, other girls and your coach will not be happy. New rules for my v-ball conference are you cant even step on the court for warm ups with jewelry- and there is no warnings..

  13. It is usually a state specific rule. Ask your coach, or, if not sure there, look up your state athletic association and search for volleyball rules. If you were in Oregon, it is the OSAA, or OSAA.org...
