  1. Anne is right, you need to tighten your wrist.  Serving overhand is like giving a high five (you know the ones that really sting?)  Also make sure you're taking a step before you hit it to give you power.  Swinging when you pass is ok if it is just a little bit, but the best thing to do is try taking a step toward the place you want to pass to and keep your thumbs pointed at the floor.  This will limit your swinging.  It takes a lot of practice to be able to have a good aggressive hit, so just keep hitting and eventually everything will work out.

  2. the answer to your problems is the simplest thing, so simple that your going to hate yourself! i used to do the exact same thing!!! then my coach (who is a really great coach! =-D) told me how to fix it...and it worked!!!

anyway, all you have to do is tighten your wrist! i bet that your keeping your wrist loose when you overhand serve and spike it. all you have to do is tighten the muscle in your forearm. in softball (or baseball) you keep a loose wrist when throwing the ball. its the exact opposite! just tighten up your wrist! you'll get a lot of power that way!

if you still need more power then i suggest you try lifting weights regularly to make your muscles stronger.

    hope my tips help you!

  3. Tighten your wrist and use you whole body instead of just your arm. The power will come eventually.

    I hope this helps.

    :]

  4. you suck if u have ur sister as your coach & you still cant do it

    try a different sport :]

  5. well sometimes u need to get a private lesson just for one-on-one stuff.... thats how i got better but u also need skill. if u don't have skill u might want to stop trying

  6. weight room!

  7. Get stronger

  8. if you need power, start lifting waits. if its your third year, unless your really young, then you should be getting the ball over. Constantly practice ball traps against the wall also.

  9. think of the ball as a person you hate the most. and jump high
