  1. the voltage is not your problem is the ampers problem you need a ac/dc converter with 10amperes output  the amperes rule your system ok the volts is only for keep on and the ampere is for power

  2. If your stereo system is on in a car and the car running with the alternator can keep up witht the power needs it will actually be 14.4 volts. You should get the 15 volt conerverter. It will power your system to it's full potential and won't hurt anything. Just make sure you don't turn it up way too loud way too long, because as with any normal stereo system you'll blow it.

  3. i would stay with a 12v.

but to make a wiser decision, one should take into consideration the equipment been used, the amount of subwoofers, and the type of amplifier and watts been used. old amplifiers usually require much more current than newer ones. although MTX amps are known to require alot of power.

i advice you to really thinkg about what ur doing. main reason depends on the current been drawn. thinking about it... if this will be in a "old" house, then the electrical wiring in the house is obviously old. this means in a loss of current and may cause over-heating in some areas.

there for, if you play your system loud for quite some time at 15v.... the electrical wires that run through your house could probably overheat and catch fire.

i would just stick with a 12v... wouldn't want to risk it and loose the house.

plan everything ahead, and take your time.

  4. 12 volt is the safest choice.
