A balloon has a volume of 1.75 L at a temperature of 25 degrees celcius. What will be the volume of the balloon if you take it out into the winter cold are at -15 degrees celcius?

    V1 / T1 = V2 / T2

    In order to find the new volume, use...

    V2 = (V1 / T1) x T2

    Bue we must first convert degrees Celcius into degrees Kelvin by adding 273. 25*C = 298*K. -15*C = 258*C

    = (1.75 L / 298*C) x 258*C = 1.52 L
