How about, we all just choose not to have any kids? Override the instinct that makes want to overpopulate. We can go out with a bang... think about it, the last generation ever to live on earth! would be a big party. And we'd all die out slowly, and peacefully, and the rest of nature could just wipe over and grow through all our concrete and tarmac...

  1. we're getting there.  with all the chemicals we've been exposing ourselves to, more and more couples are becoming infertile.

  2. It's the best idea I've heard in a long time, although I wouldn't go as far as extinction. We should also do something about the health of the nations, it is very sad to see children and the elderly undernourished, The wealth of nations should be spread out more.

  3. Interesting idea, although it would never happen. Groups of individuals can, but total populations cannot, be controlled especially regarding a behavior that is perceived to be an individual right. Any single non-conforming person would have a reproductive monopoly and would spread genes carrying the trait for reproductive propensity which would soon shift the nature of the extant population thus making it harder to remove the 'breeders'.

  4. only way that would happen would be a natural or man-made disater that made us impotent.

  5. Actually you're close to realizing a solution.  Keep thinking.

  6. That's not going to happen. I'm choosing not to have kids for many reasons. But one is overpopulation and limited resources.

  7. Help control the human population. Have your kids Spayed or Nuttered!..... Well.. Not that far. But the convics, and anyone with 3 or more kids.

  8. are you a fan of monty python?
