Volunteer Opportunities for NYC high school student over the summer?

ok so this summer i will be working with a non-for-profit organization as well as attending a couple summer programs. In August though i will just be working and would like to try some volunteering somewhere mainly on saturdays and sundays. I can travel to most of manhattan and the bronx and I'm open to most things so anyone with suggestions please let me know

check out your local hospital, there are so many ways volunteers can help in hospitals, like physical therapy to arts and crafts, helping people find there way to helping someone in a wheel chair, it is a blessing.
