  1. stop by/call your local firehouse-if it is volunteer-they will send you to the fire academy-

some states have a minimum age of 18-

16 year olds are sometimes acce3pted into an explorer program-they  may go to fire scenes. but just help on the outside-settiing up equipment, handing out water, etc...

  2. If you aren't satisfied with the answers you got from your local firehouse; try looking volunteer programs up on the web.

  3. Go to your local fire dept. and ask to join. Any one under 18 will be a cadet. Just ask them........they will give you all the info you need to know.

  4. In Australia we have something called the CFA (in Vic). You can start when your 16. They fight bush fires mainly.
