Volunteer in orphanage in China?

Question

I want to volunteer in an orphanage in China. I am looking for a good organization to do this through. There are 2 catches, though. I WANT TO GO FOR 2-4 WEEKS ONLY and I WANT TO GO IN MAY. Does anybody know of a program like this that needs some help?

I doubt unless you have a few thousand dollars in savings you can pull off this by May. It takes planning and cold hard cash.

You need to do some serious research on China, and Chineese orphanages before you leave.

You also need to spend some time researching orginazitions there is some curroption in some groups. I know Hope For the Nations, has a curropt group in Romania. So I would avoid them.

How old are you?

Do you have your passport?

I don't even think I would want to see a chinese orphange. I heard that they treat the kids like animals. and that the do the same as at the pound when there are to many little kids running around if you catch my drift.. :(
