  1. Why do you want to volunteer in a system that your family has rejected?

  2. Yes, they should allow you.  Where are you located? Some states require high schoolers to have service learning hours in order to graduate and have set up relationships with local elementary schools where kids do tutoring/peer grading, etc.  Perhaps you can check at  elementary schools in your neighborhood.

  3. #1 - Teachers LOVE volunteers.

My niece's teachers loved when my brother would go run

copies for all the second grade teachers once a week

           during his lunchtime.

#2 - It's going to look great on your college application.

Many State universities are actually REQUIRING almost

100-300 hours of commmunity service from their

            applicants.

Now, I don't know the age limit for public schools. However, in many States, the legal WORKING age is 14, so volunteering at 15 shouldn't be a problem.

If you can't do a public elementary school, however, consider other options like:

the library, maybe even as a storytime reader!

    a private school

    a kindergarten

    a nursery care school

And remember, nursery schools are sometimes 'hidden away' in corporate office buildings where their parents work.

So, your options are wide and vast. And it sound slike you have the energy to do so.
