Volunteer work ideas for someone whos retired ?

Question

My dad has been retired for over a year now .. and all he does all day Mon - Fri is play video games .. He doesn't step a foot out the house until the weekend. He's become a lil lazy since he's retired so I thought volunteer work would be a nice change for him .. even if its just once or twice a week .. or just a few hours..

Anyone have any ideas for volunteer work on the NORTH SHORE ?
