Volunteer work??

Question

i've been looking everywhere! [[on sites that is]]

i just cant seem to find volunteer work that meets my requirements. *pout*

i want a volunteer job that meets these requirements:

eligible for 12yr olds

within a 15 mile range from marietta, ga 30066

if you guys know one or can search for one id greatly apprieciate it a whole lot.

check out local nursing homes, they are always looking for someone to read to patients or sit and visit with them. When I was younger my mom was a nurse in nursing homes. I would go to work with her in the summer and sit and visit with the patients. They loved having someone to tell their stories to, and I loved hearing it. I wish I had more time and energy to do that now. It is very rewarding.

Visit your states website, try www.georgia.gov  on the states website, they will have a link for VOLUNTEER AMERICA. volunteer america is a federal program that runs through EVERY state and then through every county. This organization has volunteer opportunities for EVERY age where they will hook you up within your neighborhood. If there is no link on your state's website, try googling either Volunteer America or the United Way.

The United Way works in a similar way and will also be able to assist you. Kudos for wanting to help others at such a young age,,, Good luck!
