Volunteer work?

This summer im taking a summer school class. But i would really enjoy volunteering some where. Could you give me some ideas. My mom said she would do it with me. I think it would be a lot of fun and a good use of time but i don't know what to do?

First, where are your passions? Once you know what you really want to contribute then look for opportunities in that area.

Maybe you could help out old people or the homeless...(They always need a hand)

U could do favors for your neighbors..(u know like...mow grass or something like that...babysit)

U could help out orphan children at a group home or shelter...or raise money for sick children in hospitals.

I thikn it's a great and noble Idea to look out for the community...and especially at such a young age!

Habitat for Humanity! Then you can learn how houses are built, so it's good for you, too.

My daughter did volunteer work at a homeless shelter and loved it. She said it helped make her realize that, no matter how bad off you think you are, there is always someone in worse shape. She mostly helped serve meals.

i JUST got back from a mission

its for kids where you build wheelchair ramps and stuff

ask your church if you have something like that

it was really fun

Check your local newspaper.  Ours has a whole section in near the classifieds that has volunteer work available in the community.

There are so many opportunities....  museums, zoos and gardens, animal shelters, nursing homes, the list is endless of places and organizations that need volunteer help.

See if your community has a charity clearinghouse like United Way....they should have a list of charities...look it over and maybe you will find a place to volunteer at.
