Volunteering Opps in Va Beach?

I'm 13 years old and I submitted an app to the VBSPCA, but no word. Are there any other places to volunteer, other than librarys?

In my area the local hospitals have a summer program for teens in the summer, you could also check out some nursing homes. Also one that alot of people forgets is that if you know of any widows or people living alone in your neighbourhood that might need some help you could volunteer there. Maybe just visit them a couple days a week and talk to them. It doesn't really have to be a place of business to volunteer, you can be one right in your own neighbourhood, maybe even get more involved if there is a project thats needs some attention, good luck and God Bless!!
